We bought some silly string and wrapped it in silver wrapping paper to hide any color-specific evidence.
We chose from several design options. Some were too masculine. Some were too ugly. One was just right. Total Goldilocks situation going on.
Not right.
More not right.
Just right!
We had a cake and some balloons. We had a chart for friends and family to vote. We were ready to party. *Not pictured: Pizza. (But you've seen that before. Feel free to use some background knowledge.)
All that was left was to share the news!
Everyone made a circle and we stood in the middle!
I celebrated with a slice of cake from the blue side!
Here's how everyone voted:
- Girl: my mom; my brother-in-law, Ziggy; my dad; both of my grandmothers; and Kelly
- Boy: my sister; my uncle Brian; my grandfather; Stephanie; Jason's mom; and Lukas.
For what it's worth Jason thought it was a girl and I had just started to think it was a boy!
Afterwards we went to Jason's dad's house to share the news with him, his wife, and one of Jason's aunts and her husband.
:)
